Enterprise Week

Although ‘Enterprise’ does not appear on the school timetable as a subject in its own right, enterprise concepts and skills are taught throughout the curriculum. These include: Problem Solving, teamwork, creativity, decision making, organising and planning, financial literacy, effective communication and product design. Aspects of the Creative Curriculum in each year focus on enterprise and citizenship education.


Each year, to coincide with National Enterprise Week (October/November), the whole school comes off their normal timetable and lessons are devoted to projects which develop enterprise skills. The timetable for Enterprise Week 2011 is shown below.

Board Game Designers

A letter will arrive from Toys R Us asking if we can help to design new games ready for Christmas.

Children will work in a small team to choose a company name and then design and make a board game. They will use skills linked to Art/DT/Literacy. We will have a big game playing session to end the week.
