All Bradford Metropolitan District Council residents must apply for a primary school on the common application form. Parents should apply online via the Bradford Council Website www.bradford.gov.uk where details of admissions can be found.
In year applications need to be made to Bradford Council Admissions Department. We regularly update our numbers with Bradford who will be able to advise if there are any spaces in the particular year groups. Bradford maintain our waiting list for us and will contact us as and when spaces become available with details of applicants. In case of over subscription, places are allocated in line with the admissions policy which was in place for the Reception intake for that year. e.g If a parent is applying for a place in Year 4 in 2017, the admission policy for 2013 is the one which is used.
The governing body is responsible for determining the admissions policy, including criteria for allocating places where the school is over-subscribed. There are a total of 52 places in nursery (on a part time basis) and 60 places in Reception. Children are usually admitted into the Nursery in the academic year that they are four and into the Reception classes in the September prior to their fifth birthday.
The Admissions policy for 2018-2019 can be found below. Please note that to apply for a place in Baildon Church of England School on Church or medical grounds, applicants MUST complete the SIF (supplementary information form) for Church reasons and a medical application form for medical grounds. Part of the Supplementary Information Forms MUST be completed by the faith referee before applying and the Governing Body will follow up ALL of these applications.
Following consultation on Admissions , The Governing Body of Baildon Church of England School has now agreed the Admission Policy for 2015-2016.
